SILVER HALO (4) made up some ground with a rails-hugging ride at Dubbo when resuming from a spell just over 3 weeks ago, finishing third and only half a length from the winner. She will be just as sharp second up and drops in grade. She is unbeaten in 2 starts on this circuit and can remain so after this contest. LADY SOAMES (1) found trouble when looking for a run in the home straight last time out and returned to scale with a cut to her leg. She has been given heaps of time to get over that run and with senior hoop Andrew Gibbons back in the saddle, she can finish a lot closer this time. ENSIGN PARKER (2) followed up a nice all-the-way win fresh up at Muswellbrook with a hard-fought second on this track just over 3 weeks ago. He slides down in class and is good enough to take this out. ISLAND LEGEND (3) is normally very competitive at this level and won in similar company at Dubbo last time out. He won here as well 3 starts back and has to be respected again.
