NEW YORK LUSTRE (7) was scratched from last week in preference for this and naturally looks very well placed again. She's a sparingly raced five-year-old mare who has won her past three, too strong again at Flemington last time. The splits there said a return to 1200m would be fine, and 54kg for J Melham from the soft draw sets up nicely. MATERIAL DREAMS (5) resumed from a short spell at Flemington over 1100m and found the line very nicely for second. She drops 6kg off that and will be very hard to hold out. Big watch on IT'S BUSINESS TIME (1) over from New Zealand. She's 2/2 at 1200m and was last seen starting $2.10 favourite in a Group 3 over 1600m. Shinn booked, she's certainly good enough. BELLINGER (2) is racing well and will be sprinting quickly late. SHESALLSHENANIGANS (4) won an easier race last time and rates a top four chance here.
