Down in class and strips fitter so he is ideally placed to return to form. ROTHGATE (3) started at $1.80 but gave away too much start over 1100m at Forbes last Saturday and found one better. Won here at his only visit. Can repay punters in this suitable contest. HAMMERING AWAY (2) worked home late to finish fifth when fresh from a 31-week spell over 1000m at Dubbo recently. Lightly raced four-year-old with more upside than most of these. MOON ZONE (7) has been racing well without winning. Back in trip but should race forward and give a great sight. CALMUNDI (9) will appreciate an extra 100m today and is worth considering on a seven-day back-up.
