Good race to finish the day. NEIL (7) led all the way for a tough win as warm favourite first-up over 1006m at Grafton 18 days ago. Has only raced twice so there is a ton of improvement to come. Stick with the Matt Dunn trained three-year-old. JACKA STANDS ALONE (6) raced on the speed and was too strong late on debut last time out over 1000m at Toowoomba. Meets some other smart types here but should give a good account. ACCELAR (3) was a shade disappointing first-up on the Sunshine Coast poly, beaten comfortably into third in a four-horse field. Improved second-up last prep so don't rule her out. SAMBUCA (8) wasn't all that far away recently when second-up. Fitter and can slip into the placings without surprising. MERCIAN (1) scored a brave win first-up at the Sunshine Coast and will appreciate the longer journey.
