ELLRO (7) returned from an 18-week spell for a new stable and broke her maiden with a narrow victory over 1200m at this track last start. Lightly raced mare who has always shown ability and might be ready to capitalise this prep. STAR OF YAMBA (13) took on a BM66 at Port Macquarie last time out and ran a terrific race, beaten narrowly in a busy finish over 1500m. Not the most reliable mare in the world but back in a BM58 she must be considered. SALAMANCAS (4) was eight weeks between runs when last of twelve over this trip at Taree on 24 September. Trialled well subsequently. Deserves another chance. ICON OF STYLE (8) led but weakened at the end of 1600m here last start. Better placed back to this trip and should give backers a sight. HOTZINO (6) is racing well without winning and is one worth putting in exotics.
